Care guide

Detailed care instructions are also on each product page, depending on the fabric and the piece

General care

Washing: delicate cycle up to 30°C, minimum spin. Use liquid detergents for delicate fabrics — no bleach or harsh chemicals.

Wash colours separately from whites, darks separately from lights.

Drying: air dry, away from direct sunlight and radiators. A tumble dryer shortens a garment’s life — better without it.

Ironing: on the reverse side or through a thin cloth. A steamer is the safest option.

Tip: if a garment has shrunk slightly after washing, gently stretch it back into shape by hand while damp and dry it flat.

Velour

Washing: close zips and snaps, turn the garment inside out. Delicate cycle up to 30°C, low spin, mild gel. Don’t rub or wring by hand — it crushes the pile.

Drying: lay flat on a towel that soaks up excess water. Don’t hang it wet — velour stretches under its own weight.

Ironing: don’t iron. To refresh, use a steamer held away from the fabric.

Tip: after washing, smooth the pile with your palm in one direction and lift crushed areas with a soft brush. Store on wide hangers, away from rough surfaces and hook-and-loop fasteners.

Knitwear, cashmere and viscose

Washing: preferably by hand or on a delicate cycle up to 30°C with minimum spin, in a mesh laundry bag. Use a wool and cashmere detergent, no bleach or softener.

Cashmere doesn’t need frequent washing: usually airing and steaming is enough — wash after several wears.

Drying: only flat on a clean towel. Don’t wring — gently blot the water between two towels. Don’t hang: knitwear stretches.

Ironing: lowest temperature on the “wool” setting, or a steamer.

Tip: store knitwear folded on a shelf, not on hangers, in a dry, ventilated place without plastic bags. Remove pills that appear from friction gently with a fabric shaver. For complex fabric blends professional dry cleaning is best.

Fleece-backed jersey

Washing: close zips, turn the garment inside out. Delicate cycle up to 30°C, low spin, liquid detergent. No powder, softener or bleach — they flatten the brushed lining.

Drying: air dry, laid flat; not near radiators or in the sun.

Ironing: not needed. If necessary, use a steamer or low-temperature steam.

Tip: the brushed lining sheds a little during the first few washes — that’s normal. Pills in friction areas come off easily with a fabric shaver; marl fabrics are more prone to them.

Bamboo

Washing: delicate cycle up to 30°C, low spin, mild liquid detergent. Bamboo fibre dislikes high temperatures — hot water can shrink the garment.

Drying: flat or on a hanger in the shade, no tumble dryer.

Ironing: on the reverse side at low temperature, or with a steamer.

Tip: bamboo is very soft and breathable — to keep it that way, avoid bleach and don’t dry it on a radiator.

Cotton and jersey

Washing: up to 30°C, delicate cycle; wash light items separately from colours. Cotton shrinks in hot water, so cool water is the best friend of tees and jersey.

Drying: smoothed out or on a hanger, away from direct sunlight so the colour doesn’t fade.

Ironing: on the reverse side at medium temperature, or with a steamer.

Tip: iron prints and embroidery only from the reverse side. Marl jersey can pill over time — that’s a property of the fibre, not a defect.

Biflex and Carvico (sports and fitted pieces)

Washing: turn inside out and wash in cool water up to 30°C, by hand or on a delicate cycle. No fabric softener — it clogs the fibres and reduces stretch.

Drying: in the shade, flat or on a drying rack; not on a radiator or in a tumble dryer — heat destroys elastane.

Ironing: don’t iron.

Tip: to keep the fabric’s shape and colour longer, wash the piece after every workout and don’t leave it damp for long.

Swimwear

Washing: after every swim in the sea or pool, rinse the swimsuit straight away in cool fresh water — salt and chlorine damage the fabric. Hand wash up to 30°C with a mild detergent.

Drying: don’t wring — gently blot with a towel and dry flat in the shade. Don’t leave it in the sun or dry it on a heater.

Ironing: don’t iron.

Tip: sunscreens and oils can leave marks — let them absorb before putting your swimsuit on.

Underwear

Washing: by hand or on a delicate cycle up to 30°C in a mesh bag, with hooks fastened.

Drying: flat, in the shade.

Ironing: don’t iron.

Tip: store underwear separately from items with zips and hooks so the fine fabric doesn’t snag.
