THE STORY BEHIND IDOL
The story of IDOL began long before the brand had a name.
Its founder, Polina Kharchenko, grew up in a family where sewing was part of everyday life.
Fabrics, threads, patterns and the sound of a sewing machine surrounded her from early childhood. She watched a simple piece of fabric turn into a garment and fell in love with the process of creating very early on.
While others simply played with Barbie, Polina came up with looks for them and sewed their clothes herself.
Little dresses, suits, silhouettes — it all started with scraps of fabric, imagination and the wish to make something of her own.
Back then she didn’t yet know the words “fashion brand”, “collection” or “creative director”.
She simply loved creating things that didn’t exist yet.
Years went by.
Barbie dolls turned into real women.
Little pieces turned into full collections.
A childhood game turned into her life’s work.
And the wish stayed the same:
to create something special.
In 2024 the little dream got its own name — IDOL.
Today Polina is personally involved in creating every collection — from the first idea and choice of materials to the shades, details and final fit.
For IDOL, it matters not only how a piece looks in a photo.
It matters how it feels on the body.
How it fits.
How it moves with a woman.
And whether you will want to come back to it again and again.
That is why IDOL collections pay special attention to fabrics, fit and quality. Cotton, bamboo, premium Italian Carvico fabrics, cashmere and other carefully selected materials are the foundation of pieces made for more than one occasion.
